Set in the heart of Herriot Country in beautiful North Yorkshire, Burtree Country House nestles in a lovely rural setting below the Hambleton Hills.

This Mid 18th Century Georgian House is surrounded by spacious garden's with views of the Hambleton Hills and the famous White Horse of Kilburn.

If you would like to eat in our dining room or conservatory, we have an in house restaurant providing locally produced home cooked food, and bar, and also an extensive wine list.

A DAY AT THE RACES       

If you are visiting the local races, then we are the ideal place to stay. Centrally located for Thirsk, Ripon, Wetherby & York.  We also provide a taxi to and from the meets (charged at local taxi rates) so you do not have to worry about driving and booking taxis.   If you would like to check in early to get ready for the meet then please let us know. 

After your day at the races then we can come and collect you, and you can then enjoy a fabulous BBQ in our garden with our locally & home made produce, with chilled bottles of wine & beer.   Family & friends welcome.

Even if you are not at the races then our Burtree BBQ is a must for our guests. Our landscaped garden is the perfect relaxing place to be.
